Me and my friends pose for a while before starting the clean-up drive. :)

Still...on the clean-up drive! :)
Having fun while an activity for the kids is held in the room.

Do you know what is NSTP? I bet all of you knows about NSTP or National Service Training Program. As all of us students know, this is required to all the universities for the students to be aware of the community and experience activities like never before and to share love and care to the people in need. As you can see in these pictures, we are having a clean-up drive at Tondo, Manila. At first, I thought of this activity as "exhausting and disgusting yet embarrassing" activity BUT I was wrong. THIS ACTIVITY IS WORTH IT! :) Well, for you to know, I don't know much about sweeping, and I usually don't touch garbage bags and I don't want to go to communities that I've never been before because of the fear of getting sick or something. I don't know anything about cleaning up streets like the ones on the photos but NSTP taught me these things. Whenever I see this picture, I keep on smiling because NSTP taught me to be hands on with the people around the community and show love for them that they don't usually get from others. Because of NSTP, I learned small things like this. I'll never forget how I put SMILES on the faces of the children we interacted on. By giving them foods and proper treatment, they have those smiles on their faces that made me so thankful to help give smile and love to these kids in Tondo. Because of NSTP, I learned to love more people around me and have care to them and to be independent and especially for teaching me to not to be "maarte" at everything. :) Thanks also to Sir JM Olaco, our NSTP Director, for inspiring us and for motivating us! :)
Remember guys, "Our small NSTP actions can make a BIG DIFFERENCE!" :)
